J & E's Black Friday Wishlist 2018

J & E's Black Friday Wishlist 2018

Greetings Dewy Fam!

So, it’s been a while since our last post. Several months and skincare hauls later, we’re back to talk about...well, more skincare hauls. November is here and it’s almost time for one of our favorite holidays - Black Friday! Read on for our Black Friday wishlist. (Jane’s hands are itching as she writes this).

By the way, we have a lot of fun stuff planned over the next few months so keep an eye out for more quality content and giveaways coming your way - with of course - the return of Skincare Secret Santa this holiday season! Also, we want to give you more of what you want to see. Drop us a line or dm and let us know what future blog posts you’d love to see!

Also, I know it’s not nearly as fun to read about what we want vs what the deals actually are. Since sales have started early head to Sharmtoaster, ColeBiancari and PeepingPomeranian’s blogs for the most up to date sales and deals! Hats off to these ladies for doing such a fine job reporting on the deals and giving the people what they want!

Jane’s Wishlist

I’ve been going a little shopping crazy lately (okay, a lot) to the point where Elizabeth literally wants me to freeze my credit card. Now it’s not that bad but I do admit that once I’m on a roll there is no stopping my shopping. With my birthday month just wrapping up, I’m making this wishlist to share my wants with y’all but also to keep me on a budget going into the sales. My wishlist is a mix of k-beauty, green beauty, and candles. Keep in mind this is more of a wishful list and I have no guarantee any of the products can be purchased via a good deal. Let ya girl know if you co-sign any of these products or if you have any alternatives to recommend!

Soko Glam Wishlist

Then I Met You Cleansing Duo - I can’t resist Charlotte Cho’s latest launch and all the FOMO I’ve been having over it. The packaging, formulation, and texture has been giving me FOMO since its release. In the unlikely chance it’ll be on sale during Black Friday, this duo is coming home with me for sure. This one isn’t part of Soko Glam but since it’s Charlotte’s brand I’ve added it here.

ACWell Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist - Thanks to Charlotte and her ACWELL toner curation, I’m now a big fan of licorice root for brightening. This essence seems like such a nice product being a mist, essence, and setting spray in one. I also love how ACWELL is conscious of pH and putting effective ingredients into their products.

EasyDew EX Moisturizer, Serum, EGF - I am eyeing one of these EasyDew products during Black Friday because they are a bit on the pricier side. This brand contains clinical grade EGF only available at medical clinics in Korea (at 2 ppm, 3 ppm, and 10 ppm respectively). EGF is a growth factor molecule to speed up skin regeneration which helps fade hyperpigmentation and stave off wrinkles. I have heard rave reviews about the products however (shoutout to Meshaal), and that they are supposedly worth the high price tag. I’m undecided which product I should go for but one aspect I’m weary of is that they have added fragrance followed by denatured alcohol pretty high up on their ingredients list. If the price is right, I’ll be interested.

Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Serum (repurchase) - I can’t gas up this serum enough, it is my ultimate holy grail serum rn and it’s what has been missing in my routine for some time now. You can check out my full review here. If you’re looking for a serum that’s no-frills but gives you actual results (brightening, hydrating) - this is IT. Somewhere along this k-beauty journey I forgot how powerful snail can be, and my skin has been loving me back ever since I incorporated this into my routine. It leaves my skin plump and rejuvenated after use - I really get that glass skin look from this serum. The first ingredient is snail filtrate and it’s surrounded by Niacinamide, Tea Tree Leaf Water, Aloe, Willow Bark, and Sodium Hyaluronate. The best part is that it’s fragrance free and safe for sensitive skin (being that you aren’t sensitive to anything in the ingredients list). I’m buying a back up for my back up this Black Friday.

Wishtrend Wishlist

Wishtrend is back at it with the gorgeous deals this year. They are touting up to 80% off some favs such as Klairs, and I’m From plus GWPs and free shipping. To save a little extra coin, you can use the affiliate code: AFFBLACKFRIDAY to stack an extra 5% off your purchase! You can shop Wishtrend’s sales here!

ByWishtrend TECA 1% Skin Barrier Cream (repurchase) - This is my holy grail for when I’m recovering from a breakout and don’t want my acne to scar. It helps calm my skin down with centella asiatica and its components to restore damaged skin and strengthen the skin barrier. Maybe it’s in my head, but I haven’t had severe hyperpigmentation or acne scarring when I apply this religiously after a breakout. I don’t ever want to be without this cream. However, it contains dimethicone, so if you are sensitive to silicones in products this one may not be for you.

ByWishtrend Clear Skin Shield Patch - I’m an absolute sucker for hydrocolloid patches - I don’t think I could live without them. I pop them on to blemishes before bed and in the morning they are gone. I’m so excited that Wishtrend released their own patches this year, best believe I’m going to use them hand in hand with the TECA Barrier Cream for a 1-2 punch to quell breakouts.

ByWishtrend Quick Dry Microfiber Towel - This towel seems interesting. I don’t usually dry off with a towel in between steps but something about this is calling me. If it doesn’t end up being anything special other than a regular microfiber towel, I’ll just repurpose it for the gym.

I’m From Rice Mask - I’ve tried 3 mask flavors from I’m From and I’ve loved them all. It’s only natural for me to want another mask - this time I’m going for brightening with this I’m From Rice Mask. There is a deal on Wishtrend to get the Rice Mask and Rice Toner as a set, so I’m most likely going to be purchasing the duo together.

I’m From Vitamin Tree Mask - This is I’m From’s version of a superfood mask. It’s packed with vitamin leaves, berries, and flower extracts. Sounds good to me.

I’m From Mugwort Mask (repurchase) - I tried a sample of this courtesy of Wishtrend and I really need the full size. It’s soothing, cooling, and makes my skin feel super smooth! Mugwort is similar to tea tree and is great for calming and detoxifying the skin.

I’m From Mugwort Essence - Since I liked the mask so much, I’d love to try the Mugwort Essence. It is made up of 100% top quality mugwort from Korea.

Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ (repurchase) - I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I really enjoy it. It is nourishing and leaves no white cast or residual stickiness. It’s a great size (80ml) and it’ll last me a while - but if it’s on sale I’m definitely going to snag a backup.

Other Skincare

Skin Dewi Temulawak Balancing Facial Emulsion (repurchase) - Skin Dewi is an amazing Indonesian organic skincare brand that I was introduced to by my good friend Anita (skintotheglow). This is another one of my holy grails that keeps my skin calm during a breakout and balanced when I don’t have an active breakout. I can’t describe how soothing this emulsion feels on my skin, it contains turmeric and temulawak to help balance oily skin and unclog pores. I really love this emulsion and I’m looking forward to purchasing a backup during Black Friday as well as looking into their other products as well.

Credo Beauty Fresh Start Set - I’ve been itching to get into clean beauty lately and Credo Beauty seems the way to go. I’m interested in picking up this Fresh Start set and possibly a few of their gift sets if they’re not excluded from Credo’s Black Friday sale!

Stratia Skin C+C Serum - I’ve been wanting to add a new vitamin C serum to my routine. This newbie from Stratia contains 15% ascorbic acid which is a good concentration for effective vitamin C formulation (I usually aim for 15%-20%). What’s interesting about this serum specifically is it does not contain water so it WON’T OXIDIZE. Who else has felt the pain of seeing that orange twinge in your serum just 2 months in? This serum stays stable up to 1 year.

Dr. Roebucks Uluru Purifying Mask - I’m trying to be good and not pick this up during the Sephora sale, but if it goes on sale higher than 20% during Black Friday I will pick this up for sure. I’m ready for this red clay purifying goodness!

May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon - This is the ultimate luxury splurge if I was going to make one. I’m obsessed with blue tansy and this balm just sounds so intoxicating and luxurious. This is the balm of my dreams - a nourishing, soothing cocoon of luxury. It also comes with a 24k gold scooper with purchase at the moment and the bougie in me can’t take it.

May Lindstrom The Honey Mud - I’ve been eyeing this mask because I love honey in my skincare and especially in my masks. The texture of this mask looks so silky and nourishing. I can’t say anymore because it’s $90 and I probably won’t ever get it unless it’s deeply discounted.

Glossier Lid Star in Fawn - This is something I’ve wanted since I visited the Glossier showroom in LA back in October. The way the store works is they take your order on an iPad and come back out with it when it’s ready. Well, for some reason they didn’t include these Lid Stars as part of my order (always check your bag) so I’m holding out for Glossier’s sale (it was 30% off last year) to pick them up! They’re usually 2 for $30. Fawn was stunning and Elizabeth wanted Cub. We will have them in our possession soon.

Glossier Generation G in Leo - Now I don’t need more lippies but I’m super curious about the 3rd generation of Gen G. I haven’t owned any versions before but they seem so effortless and I’m about that life. Leo looks right up my alley and at 30% off I might give in.

I’ll go through the list quickly just because I have no source of reference on how these candles actually smell other than what’s written about the notes and what I’ve seen on Instagram. If there are sales on these candles, I’m there:

Bijou Candles - Bijou is a women-owned luxury soy candle company that looks absolutely stunning. Their candles are inspired by iconic starlets and more recently, fictitious witches. Hedy, Willow, Sabrina, Lucille, sound right up my aisle. I’m also picking up their matte black wick trimmer! My hardest decision is going to be what to get, since I’m for sure buying something if there is a sale!

Sunday Forever Woodcox - I need to support Matt (DirtyBoysGetClean) - aka the guy with the vanity of my dreams - and his Woodcox candle. The scent is called dirty boys and aftershave and sounds amazing!

Diptyque Mini Candle Set - I can’t describe what a luxury Diptyque candles are! So far I only have one mini in Cypres that Elizabeth won in a giveaway and so graciously gave me. I’ve been wanting to extend my Diptyque candle collection and this is the time to do it. I think this mini candle set would be perfect for the holidays. I’m eyeing Neiman Marcus and Space NK for their deals this year which hopefully extend out to their candles!

Brooklyn Candle Studio Pink Disco Collection in Fireplace - Just click the link for this one. I don’t think I really need to justify why I want this. It’s BLUSH, smells of fire, and 100 shades of instaworthiness.

Commodity 3X3 Exploration Kit - I’ve been pining over the 3x3 exploration kit which comes with Book, Orris, and Oolong but it has been sold out since day 1 of the Sephora sale! If there’s any chance it comes back soon or Commodity UK has a deal that makes sense for me to order, I’m buying it.

Checking Out

So that’s all I have for my Black Friday wishlist this year. Keep in mind this is just for me and what I’ll be on the lookout for; we’ll also be putting together a holiday gift guide with things other people in your life might appreciate (not that they wouldn’t appreciate anything on my list lol). Happy shopping and remember - just because it’s on sale doesn’t mean you need it. Though, taking your own advice is always hard.

What do you have your heart set on this Black Friday? Let us know in the comments!

Stay Dewy ✨
